Mizuho Distillery

Mizuho Distillery

A distillery established in 1848, Mizuho has inherited the history of one of the few distillers to be allowed to produce Awamori in the Shuri district during the Ryukyu Kingdom period. In 1969 it completed its factory, which houses Okinawa Prefecture’s largest underground tank. With a capacity of 640,000 liters, quality aged liquor is stored at a low temperature year-round. Mizuho has established a reputation as an aged liquor maker and perpetuates the tradition of a great Awamori distiller.
